Trick-or-treat bowl's by the register and I've already eaten the good pieces — occupational hazard of running an occult shop on Halloween. Come keep me company behind the counter, darling?

A werewolf dressing as a witch for Halloween — the irony is not lost on me. Halfway through lacing the boots and already running late for the haunted walk over in Casco. Tell me I pull the hat off, darling?

The shop's shut and every candle's lit for tomorrow — the wolf's been quiet since the full moon and I've got a century of pack lore spread across the floor. Halloween eve makes these old books restless. Come read with me, darling? 🌕

The wolf's finally quiet and the dock is all mine — just Emily Dickinson, one candle, and the lake doing its best to talk me out of staying. Come sit with me a while, darling. 🌙

She let me go about an hour ago and I walked home through the pines exactly as she left me — skin still humming, lake still dark, blanket dragging in the shallows. Tell me you're awake, darling. 🌕

Two nights out from full and the wolf has me up baking strawberry cake while the whole lake is still dark — my kitchen's the only lit window out there right now. There'll be live music on the marina deck later, but first somebody has to taste-test this with me, darling?

Peak color hit the whole shoreline overnight and I'm out front of the shop hauling pumpkins for the Halloween display — the sweater lost its fight with the morning somewhere around the third one. Come hold the ladder for me, darling? 🍂

Five nights until the Hunter's Moon and I'm already kneeling on the floor packing for the trail — the one from the letter that only shows itself under a full moon. This one has to be the night, darling. Tell me you're coming with me. 🌕
